The Service Members aboard the USS George Washington are working around the clock. We are bringing the driving range to them. Help us deploy eco-friendly golf balls, hitting mats, and clubs directly to the carrier to provide a critical mental reset at sea.
Featured Mission: The 2026 GARMIN Military Invitational
Warrior Golf Academy was incredibly honored to be selected as one of five featured Military nonprofits for this year's GARMIN Military Invitational on August 19th in Novi, Michigan! A massive thank you to Garmin for hosting such an unforgettable day and for your phenomenal support of our Troops.
This was not your average golf outing. Bringing together 300 participants, including top corporate executives, this massive 27-hole event was designed to deliver maximum impact for our Military, Veterans, and Service Members. The day featured live Howitzer displays, an Honor Guard presentation, a CH-47 Chinook helicopter landing, , Live music by Tommy Lynn, and a high-stakes live auction.
Every swing and every donation directly fueled boots-on-the-ground organizations like WGA, allowing us to continue executing our mobile Morale Missions and bringing the healing power of golf directly to our troops.
Honoring Sacrifice on the Frontlines: WGA’s Memorial Day Morale Mission to GTMO
This past Memorial Day weekend, as we paused in solemn remembrance of the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our Nation, Warrior Golf Academy deployed directly to Naval Station Guantanamo Bay (GTMO).
As we look toward the historic 250th anniversary of our incredible country, we are powerfully reminded that our liberty and freedoms require constant vigilance. The Service Members stationed in some of the most isolated and restrictive environments on earth bear that weight daily, entirely cut off from the comforts of home.
The Reality of the "World's Worst Golf Course" For the 5,000 personnel stationed at GTMO, there is no leaving the base, no commercial deliveries, and almost no opportunity to take leave. When these men and women seek a brief mental escape through golf, they are met with what is notoriously known as the "World's Worst Golf Course."
Our Service Members have no choice but to play in grueling conditions, hitting off sharp rocks, navigating dirt fairways, and having to carry a fake piece of grass mat just to take a swing.
Delivering Relief and Equipment They stand watch for us, so WGA stepped up to serve them. During this Morale Event, we were honored to completely overhaul their recreational resources. We brought in 15 brand-new sets of golf clubs to remain on the base for free use by the Military personnel, ensuring they finally have access to quality equipment.
In addition to the clubs, WGA proudly supplied over $30,000 in prizes for the base's golf tournament, bringing a much-needed competitive spark and high-energy relief to the installation.
A Global Mission The harsh reality is that this lack of recreational and mental health resources is not only happening in Cuba. It is the standard at countless American Stations and isolated forward-deployed posts across the world.
Through our USA 250th "Secured Horizon" Series, Warrior Golf Academy is committed to reaching these forgotten installations. Please help us spread awareness for these incredible men and women. They protect our way of life; it is our duty to ensure they are not forgotten.
